Description: A very fine George lll ebony banded flame mahogany, flat to the wall bow front barometer. Swan neck pediment with faux ivory finial. Bowed glazed scale and well figured trunk to an ebonised urn shaped cistern cover flanked by canted corners with ebony line inlay. The signed silvered dial, Watkins, Clare Street, Bristol, with scale from 27 - 31 inches and rack and pinion vernier - affected via a knob set on the main trunk. Long bow front glazed scale to mercury thermometer with adjustable vernier.
